5 of the best wedding reception entertainment ideas from Par-Tee Events
After having hired our wedding mini golf at over 200 weddings and events as well as planning our own wonderful wedding (see pictures in the about me), we know a thing or two about what entertainment you can have at a wedding.
Make sure you and your wedding guests have the ultimate wedding day fun, with these wedding reception entertainment ideas.
1. Wedding mini golf hire
Number 1 on out list of wedding reception entertainment ideas has got to be our own wedding mini golf hire of course! A lot of our wedding golf is is hired during the time gaps in the day but we love to entertain at wedding receptions too. Indoor or outdoor, our wedding crazy golf can keep your guests busy before the music really kicks in. See our packages here.
2. Saxophonists
2nd of our list is a saxophonist. Like our wedding mini golf, a saxophonist is perfect to be out during the cocktail hour. But seriously, have you heard some of the skilled saxophonists out there? Why not have the start of your wedding reception with a saxophonist! Check out Emma Sax, who we did a wedding with last year. She is truly talented and will make your day sound wonderful!
3. Balloon pop abstract art
Ok, so this one does require some outside space, as venues will not be keen on you getting paint all over their floors. But Balloon pop abstract art is the perfect wedding reception entertainment idea! It is also something you can you yourself for all the DIY brides out there! Each guests takes a turn and it doubles up as artwork for your house. You would be surprised how much guests love this!
4. A kids table for wedding reception entertainment ideas
Some people love kids at a wedding, some hate it, some are indifferent. But if you are having children at your wedding, you can guarantee that they will get bored. One idea is obviously our wedding mini golf hire as kids love this. Another option, is to have a kids table. We have seen a few of these over the years. A Lego table with built in Lego bases. A crafts table and even a glitter and face paint table (that was at a festival wedding, it was also very fun!) Whichever type of table you go for, it will definitely keep those little people happy (and some of the bigger people too).
5. Get a firebreather
“Don’t try this at home”, that’s what they always say. Hiring a firebreather on the other hand, is something you absolutely should do! I’ve seen a few of these at weddings and it is always a hit with the guests, especially once it is dark. If you are looking for a mobile bar as well as a firebreather, then our friends at Peggy Sue’s are here for you. Emma the owner, not only has these wonderful horsebox bars, but she also doubles up as a fire breathing extravagant.
